Chukat: A Wilderness Remembrance

One of my life’s greatest privileges has been time in the reborn Jewish state, a mystical dream to so many past generations.

Among many other experiences in Israel, I have had the opportunity to walk in places that brought the Torah alive for me.

This week, Shabbat Chukat, I’ll re-share the post I wrote eight years ago from Jerusalem about hiking in the “Wilderness of Zin.”  With Israel opening up after the Coronavirus pandemic’s travel restrictions, I hope that you will consider going to our ancient and modern land … and taking your children and grandchildren.

Shabbat shalom!
